    One-hour session

    This course teaches and supports you to improve and overcome physical challenges. It includes hands-on body work, using a combination of educational and therapeutic body work rooted in the Alexander Technique.

    A 5 week course of in-person appointments guides you to deepen and nurture your ability to relax, connect with your body, and begin to understand the relationship of your body-mind connection. With an emphasis on how you use your body as a whole and the impact on your musculature, movement and state of mind, you will begin to cultivate a new clarity and body awareness. You will learn to nurture relaxation, slow down and connect with yourself.

    Through gentle hands-on work you will learn to apply tools to reduce pain and implement a more balanced way of managing your energy and being in your body throughout your day. Managing the challenges of pain, specifically neck, shoulder & back - as well as hips and knees - we address the stress of pain, and in some cases the challenges of aging, and nurture an open state of mind to deeply & compassionately connect with yourself to restore your movement & body-mind integrity and harmony.

    Fully dressed in comfortable clothing we will be working through restorative movement patterns, both lying down, sitting up and standing, to address deeply-seated muscle patterns and restore the more spacious, innate and natural response to gravity throughout and in relation to the various activities of your day.
